Why I chose BlogEngine.NET

For assignment 3 of my first unit with Curtin University, NET11 – Internet Communications; I am required to keep an on-going portfolio of my learning throughout the unit. This blog will serve as an online repository for my responses to activities, required readings and discussions.

The idea of using a blog is not my own. Many of my fellow students are already using WordPress and other blog engines to host their portfolio publicly. I’ve chosen to use an advanced blogging platform called BlogEngine.NET as it's written in ASP.NET, a server side programming language I’m very familiar with; this provides me a very modifiable base for my blogging activities.

I'm running a bit behind the others in my unit as I've had a few events to attend and studying with Curtin is quite different compared to RMIT. More posts to come shortly as I catch up.

EDIT: All posts relating to NET11 have been imported to this blog from http://NET11.LukeFranklin.com.
